Hollywood, California (December 15, 2006) – Founded in May 2005, BReaKiNG iNTo HoLLyWooD (B.i.H.) is a non-profit organization based in Los Angeles County that was recently granted federal 501(c)(3) tax-exemption status to formally execute its mission of assisting professionals nationwide with pursuing their entertainment careers with integrity, creativity and enthusiasm. “Thanks to the support of our board of directors, panelists and industry friends, over 400 participants from around the world have attended our various educational events,” says founder Angela M. Hutchinson.
B.i.H. hosts new member orientation sessions and monthly panel discussions open to the public related to the business and craft of the following industries: Film, TV, Theater, Multimedia, Fashion, Modeling, Sports, Art, Photography, Dance, Comedy and Music. B.i.H. also serves as a resource bureau to help entertainment professionals avoid scams, reduce personal hindrances and minimize career setbacks.
The organization’s primary areas of focus are educational networking events, career development workshops and youth-orientated programs to assist rising star children, teens and their parents with navigating a showbiz career.
